Appearance:

Claire is currently a seventeen year old woman with long blonde hair and green eyes. She has side swooping bangs and enjoys putting curls in her hair, but lately has found a love for her straightener or various ponytail styles. Claire enjoys shopping and clothes so she has a wide variety of clothes she likes to wear, but she doesn't put much thought into her appearance. Especially when she knows its possible for her to get stuck into incidents that her powers would have to re heal itself from, but ruin her clothes. From a very young age she has taken a love to cheerleading and still continues to do it when and where she can since it's the only distraction she has from all her bigger than life seeming problems. Thanks to this, Claire is in very fit shape. She is an active girl and thanks to that she stays pretty skinny though has some tone to her. Despite that, she isn't the strongest person in the world and she certainly isn't the tallest. She's an average looking girl, in her mind, which makes it easier to duck her head and blend in with the rest of the world.

Personality:

For the first part of her life, she was a normal, happy child. She had a hyper personality, and was always running around doing something. Whether it be making mud pies for everyone in the house, or chasing after the neighbor's dog to give it a pet. She's the epitome of a daddy's girl, and was closest to her father more than anyone. Even though she was adopted, she had no idea she was and wouldn't know until far later in her life. She was raised and brought up in a normal and loving environment which only made her personality normal and loving. Claire is a very loving and compassionate individual. When she first learned that she had special abilities it both scared her and disturbed her. As if growing up and facing those insecurities weren't hard enough, she had powers and abilities that people didn't even know existed to deal with. It turned her whole world upside down and it made Claire's personality come off as melancholy and stand offish. Some may shrug and say that it was just the teenager angst phase, but Claire knew it was far more than that. The more she started to accept her powers, the more she started to become her goofy fun loving self again. She was always curious about her abilities, but the more she accepted them the more curious she got of their limits as well. Claire has many shades of color to her palette. She can be social and carefree, always be the first one to laugh at a joke or someone attempting to make a joke. She can also be very determined and serious as well. Her compassion for life in general drives her to help people. Not only people with special abilities like her, but people who don't have special abilities that can't help themselves. Claire doesn't limit herself to who she talks with or to. In school, she was different from the other cheerleaders, and even looked down upon by some of them, because she would talk to anyone that would talk to her. She has respect for life and is disgusted by people who try and take that away from other people. She has a bad temper that causes her to act recklessly or lash out before hearing the entire story of things. When she's angry, she is quick to close up and not listen to anyone else until she cools down. She wants to be normal and remain normal, but she feels like she will be neither thanks to her abilities.

History:


Claire was adopted by the Bennet family at a very young age, too young to know any different and too young to remember a life before her adoptive family. She grew up a Bennet and grew to love her family very much. She was closest with her father and remained close to him throughout her life. Her mom always had her love and respect, the dog obsession however was a different story. Her annoying little brother had to have her love by default, but he always seemed to come through for her on certain cases. So she'd keep him around. All in all it was a normal life growing up in Odessa, Texas.

People always used to say things turn into a different world when you hit high school. Claire never knew how true that would be for her, because her entire world was flipped in high school when she discovered about her abilities. They shoved her into an introverted hole, which made high school so much harder than it should have been. It took awhile for Claire to accept her abilities and what she was. In order to test what she could and couldn't do, she would do self injuring and even life threatening stunts and have her friend, zack, tape it for her. She used to keep up these attempts constantly, documenting each one, and she continues to go back to documenting such abilities throughout her life. She would help who she could with her abilities, but gladly let other people take the credit. She didn't want to bring any type of that kind of attention to herself. After pulling a man from a burning train and letting her classmate and fellow cheerleader take the glorifying credit of it, she found out that someone by the name of Sylar had come to town hunting for special people. She was saved by Peter Petrelli and thanks to Sylar, is forced to go into hiding with most of her family.

They eventually relocate to try and get a different life started, once of secrecy and Claire is forced to be lower than low on the radar so she is to not draw attention to herself. She soon finds a way to track down her biological parents, her father being Nathan Petrelli and her mother having powers just like her. In between finding romances and trying to rekindle a relationship with her real mother, she is trying to find her footing and thought process in all the powers business. She soon loses proof that she's human and that takes a bigger toll on her than she's willing to admit to anyone. In trying to learn from her real mother, shes trying to balance everything else on top of people trying to tell her how dangerous her real mother is. She refuses to listen and thanks to people targeting on Meredith, Claire and her adoptive mother get caught in the crossfire. Her adoptive father helps get them out of the jam, but she is left her real mother to die. It's something that she is still having a hard time getting over, no matter who tells her what to try and make her feel better. Clarie and her adoptive father's relationship is currently somewhat strained because she doesn't agree with him hunting people like her. Its making her feel less like Claire and more like the freak she was afraid of becoming. Now in the mist of all this chaos happening and revolving around people with special abilities, its scaring her and she barely knows whats going on. But shes feisty in the terms she wants to help track down level five escapees that want to destroy people like her and keep her head down for everyone else in the world as well. She clings to Peter but wants nothing more than to hug onto her father and whine like a three year old for him to bring her back another teddy bear for her collection....like she did when she was three...when life was simpler then.
